When the holiday season approaches, one’s mind is prone to wander to food more often than usual. But even without this fortunate timing, Ms Katerina Cronstedt, guest speaker at the November Professional Women’s Evening, would have had no problem holding the attention of the audience with her lively and interactive presentation about Katerina.ru Foodkits, the catering service she founded. Ms Cronstedt gave a brief description of her background, and explained how her strive for efficiency as Managing Director of Katerina Hotels and her personal dream of doing something to make people’s lives better, led to the idea of starting a catering service in Moscow. It was very interesting to hear how her company has grown over the past months thanks to a well thought business plan and a consistent use of innovative marketing tools, such as blogs, and of course also with help from the world’s oldest form of marketing: personal referrals.

Katerina, thank you for the inspiring evening and for sharing your business secrets with us!

* 9th June 2014

Being the third in an unintended “spring series” of women entrepreneurs may have stifled a less charming and elegant speaker, but French entrepreneur Ms Cecile Rogue took great delight in telling us what Russia is like from the inside, from the perspective of an independent French businesswoman.
Her self-titled business Bureau Cecile Rogue and owner of School in the Art of French Living is the long evolution of an experimental move by her parents in choosing Russian as a second language for her at the age of ten. The Russian public’s love affair with France allows her to share her passion for her home country through promoting the French way of living, culture, style, shopping, and tailor-made travel itineraries. Not only an astute businesswoman with nearly 20 years experience in Russia, Cecile also refers to herself as “creatrice d’emotions,” as she deals with the more creative elements of the business, while her husband and business partner takes care of the bureaucratic side of things.
In addition to the catering delights and high standard of service we have come to know and love at Hotel InterContinental, Cecile treated our guests to a gift bag with an invitation from Galeries Lafayettes to their VIP lounge in Paris. Expat Muscovites travelling to Paris over the summer will be able to take advantage of this exclusive service designed for the Russian clientele.
