Donations Office

E-mail Print PDF

The IWC Donations Office collects unwanted items and passes them on to the charity projects that we support. We can use anything and everything as long as it’s clean, in good condition and full working order (except video tapes).  We even take dried and canned food with shelf life - or your unwanted holiday gifts!

We accept donations on Mondays 11.00 – 13.00. The Donations Office is located at Gruzinsky Pereulok dom 3, apartment 1A. The entrance to the block is at the rear, from Sred. Kindrat’evskiy Pereulok. Click here for a map. The nearest metro is Belorusskaya.

There are also collection points at Rosinka and Pokrovsky Hills and Arbat. Unfortunately we do not have our own transport to make collections but sometimes we are able to make special arrangements.

If you have larger items to donate, such as furniture or big domestic appliances then please email us and include a photograph of the item. We don't have space to store these items but we will do our best to put you in direct contact with a project that would like your donation. Our email address is  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , tel: 8-916-410-1366 (Mon 11.00 – 13.00).

On our wish list from specific projects we have :

  • Socks and toiletry items (hotel and airline soaps, shampoos, shaving gear, combs, toothbrushes and toothpaste) for one of our street people projects
  • 2 large cork display boards
  • Microwave
  • Soup dishes

Winter Bazaar

We had another spectacular result at last year’s Winter Bazaar – increasing our sales figures by over 27% on 2009.  We sell things which our projects don’t need/want – everything from a playpen to a bass guitar and practice amplifier and what seemed like hundreds of soft toys, books and DVDs.

WE WILL SOON BE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS TO HELP ON THE DO CHARITY STALL AT THE 2011 WINTER BAZAAR. THE DO NEEDS YOU!

A very big Thank You to all our donors in April and part of May 2011:

Erin Zhukin, Katya Tonyucer, Oksana Borzina, Veerle Jacquemain, Susan Partridge, Angus Saunders, Jolanda Kunej, Angel Cavise, Neelam Victor, Betsy Oztemel, Carmel Buckingham and Junior Girl Scout Troop No 15 (Emilie Apel, Lily Andrews, Jung Hyun Kim, Kayla Smith, Ashely Strauss, Sophia Spence and Isabelle Apel) and all of our collectors, drivers and anonymous donors at the Russian Linguistic Centre, Rosinka and Pokrovsky Hills.

Please forgive us if we have omitted or mis-spelt your name – sometimes our diary is difficult to read – but be assured that our charity projects are always grateful for the help which your donations provide for children and adults in need.
